Aliza Leventhal

Aliza Leventhal currently serves as the Director of Fleet Library at the Rhode Island School of Design, providing oversight across multiple information and service areas. Prior to this role, Aliza worked at the Library of Congress as the Head of Technical Services Section in the Prints & Photographs Division, where responsibilities included supervising a substantial team of archivists and technicians and ensuring effective workflows for processing and digitizing collection materials. Aliza's experience also encompasses a role as Corporate Librarian/Archivist at Sasaki, where efforts focused on developing archival policies and improving knowledge management systems. Aliza's foundational roles in archiving and research began with internships and positions at institutions such as the MIT Museum and Harvard Law School. Aliza holds two Master’s Degrees from Simmons University in History and Library and Information Science, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and American Studies from Smith College.
