Heinrich Hermann

Heinrich Hermann is a distinguished Senior Critic in Interior Architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design since June 2015, where graduate studios are taught. As the owner of Hermann Design Studio, established in November 2002, Heinrich has contributed to high-quality design projects, notably the recreation of a Mid-Century Modern masterpiece in Maine. Previous experience includes serving as a Visiting Professor at the Danish Institute for Study Abroad, where courses on Adaptive Reuse and Scandinavian Architecture were taught, and as a Professor and Chair at Alfred State College, where a BArch program was initiated. Prior roles encompass positions as an Associate Professor at Rhode Island School of Design, Senior Designer at Hanbury Evans Austin, and Senior Designer at CBT Inc., with significant projects in academia and civic design. Heinrich's academic background includes a PhD in History and Theory of Architecture from Harvard University, an M.Arch from Cornell University, and a Mag.Arch from the Universität für angewandte Kunst Wien.
