Richard Song

Richard Song, PhD has a diverse and extensive work experience in various leadership and advocacy roles related to diversity, equity, and inclusion in educational institutions. Richard has held positions such as Director of Intercultural Student Engagement at Rhode Island School of Design, where they facilitated learning opportunities and implemented programs for underrepresented student populations. Prior to that, they served as a Talent & Business Strategy Partner at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, providing support and counsel to leaders on employee matters. Richard also worked as Director of New Student Programs at University of Rhode Island, overseeing orientation programs and advising on career and internship search. Additionally, Richard has experience in academic advising and residence hall management in different institutions.

Richard Song, PhD has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Education from the University of Rhode Island, which they obtained from 2015 to 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science in Human Development and Family Studies; Studies from the same university between 2007 and 2009. Richard also holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies, which they completed from 2002 to 2007 at the University of Rhode Island.
