Rico Vota is currently the Director of the Office of Legislative & Intergovernmental Affairs at the State of Rhode Island, a position held since January 2021. Prior to this role, Vota served as the Deputy Director in the same office from February 2021 to February 2022 and as the Community Affairs & Outreach Manager under Governor Gina M. Raimondo from September 2016 to February 2021. Additional experience includes serving as the Community Affairs & Communications Director for the City of Pawtucket, RI, from February 2015 to September 2016, and as Campaign Manager for Secretary of State Nellie Gorbea in 2014. Rico Vota holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Merrimack College and a Postgraduate Diploma in General Studies from Wilbraham & Monson Academy. Education was completed with a high school diploma from La Salle Academy in 1999.
