Cara Thomas is an experienced Project Coordinator at Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council since May 2016, focusing on the Divert project aimed at reducing reoffending rates among young adults aged 18 to 25 in RCT and Merthyr, supported by the Police & Crime Commissioner. Prior to this role, Cara served as a Victims Champion at Victim Support from 2010 to May 2016, where responsibilities included providing emotional and practical support to victims and witnesses of anti-social behavior, as well as facilitating witness services at the civil court while maintaining strong relationships with various agencies. Cara holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of South Wales, obtained in 2010, and completed secondary education at Tonypandy Community College from 1999 to 2006.
