Owen Griffiths currently serves as the Flood & Water Risk Manager at Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council since January 2016, overseeing the Flood Risk Management team and fulfilling the requirements of the Lead Local Flood Authority, Land Drainage Authority, and SuDs Approval Body. Previously, Owen held the position of Flood Water and Tip Risk Manager at the same council, as well as serving as a Senior Engineer (Flood and Tips Risk Management) and Flood Risk Officer at Torfaen County Borough Council from April 2014 to January 2016. Additionally, Owen was the Lead Recycling Engagement Officer at Wastesavers for a brief project in late 2013 and completed a work placement with the emergency management team at Rhondda Cynon Taf CBC in 2013. Owen holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Disaster Management for Environmental Hazards and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) (Hons) in Geology and Physical Geography from the University of South Wales.
