Steve Lock

Steve Lock has extensive experience in procurement and energy management, primarily with Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council from 2004 to 2021, where Steve held various senior positions including Head of Energy Project Management and Head of Procurement and Energy Management. Responsibilities included overseeing numerous energy projects, leading a dedicated Energy team, and managing procurement activities across multiple sectors. Steve’s earlier career included roles at National Grid and British Gas, with a focus on procurement strategy and contracts management. Steve holds a B.Sc in International Politics from Aberystwyth University and advanced qualifications in Purchasing and Supply from the University of Glamorgan and University of South Wales. Currently, Steve is a retired Head of Procurement and Energy/Carbon Reduction at Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council since January 2023.
