John Sanchez

Associate at RHR International

John is an experienced executive coach who focuses on individual and team development and overall organizational effectiveness. His interest in human capital stems from an endless curiosity for understanding why individuals do what they do and how groups of people perform at a high level together.

John’s purpose is to help his clients achieve their highest level of effectiveness so that they can achieve their goals. His passion is helping motivated professionals be better by challenging them to think differently, explore other perspectives, and get out of their own way.

John’s work focuses on helping executives and teams amplify their success. Each engagement is crafted uniquely for the client. As an executive coach, John guides clients in practicing intelligent, effective leadership that increases performance at all levels. When working to develop teams, John employs a powerful approach, working with the team in real time while they do real work in their natural setting. This unique style allows John to serve as coach/consultant/facilitator in-the-moment, as needed, to help the team maximize their effectiveness.

In all engagements, John’s approach is to deeply understand a client’s goals and challenges. He gathers data to understand the client’s context, objectives, constraints, and opportunities and then collaborates with them to create a plan for implementing and practicing new behaviors. John challenges clients to reflect and become more self-aware, explore other perspectives, and learn to choose actions that produce outcomes that will help them achieve their highest potential as leaders.

John brings over 20 years of experience in the human capital field in diverse business sectors—finance, healthcare, biopharma, consulting, PR, advertising and marketing, startup tech, engineering, policy research, and luxury retail. Prior to working as a coach, John was a consultant and human resources professional in various capacities at Monitor Group (now part of Deloitte Consulting LLP), Millennium Pharmaceuticals (now Takeda Oncology), and State Street Bank, among others. He is an experienced facilitator and is fluent in Spanish.
