Predrag "P.J." Popovic

P.J. Popovic has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Predrag "P.J." is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Rhythm since February 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Direct Energy from 2010 to 2020, where they held various positions including Vice President and General Manager, US Energy, Director of Commercial Operations, Head of US Gas Supply and Pricing, Director of North American Market Risk, and Head of Trading and Midstream Finance. In these roles, they were responsible for driving business strategies and improvements, optimizing energy portfolios, managing risk, and improving competitiveness. Before joining Direct Energy, P.J. worked as a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young LLP from 2005 to 2010, where they advised financial services companies and energy companies on risk management initiatives and strategy execution. Predrag "P.J." also had brief stints at Credit Suisse as a Consultant in the Investment Bank in 2006 and at JPMorgan Chase as an Investment Banking Associate in the Equity and Derivatives Technology division from 2002 to 2004. P.J. started their career at El Paso Energy as a Senior IT Analyst, where they managed enterprise application integration projects and designed and implemented various IT systems for energy markets. Prior to that, they worked at the American Embassy in Belgrade, Serbia & Montenegro.

Predrag "P.J." Popovic obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Belgrade, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. Following this, they pursued a Master of Business Administration degree specializing in Finance at the University of Houston from 2003 to 2005.
