Lauri Tankler

Lauri Tankler is an experienced professional in the fields of cyber security and journalism. Currently serving as the Head of R&D Coordination at the Estonian Information System Authority since August 2018, Lauri oversees Research and Development initiatives and leads the Estonian National Cyber Centre under European regulations. Previous roles include Lead Analyst, where Lauri focused on cyber threat analysis and awareness campaigns, and various journalist positions at Ekspress Meedia and Estonian Public Broadcasting News, covering topics ranging from politics to security. Lauri's early career included teaching English as a second language and managing editorial responsibilities at Eesti Päevaleht and Presshouse. Lauri holds a Master's degree in Sociology and a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Journalism from the University of Tartu.
