Lara Wagner

Lara Wagner is a seasoned legal professional specializing in immigration law with extensive experience in various roles advocating for immigrant populations. Currently serving as Managing Attorney at Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) since March 2024, Lara previously held positions at the Rian Immigrant Center, including Associate Director of Legal Programs, Supervising Attorney, and Immigration Attorney, from February 2020 to March 2024. As the Principal and Owner of Law Offices of Lara Wagner, LLC from June 2015 to December 2019, Lara focused on providing affordable legal services to immigrant communities in the Chicagoland area. Earlier in the career, positions included Asylum Fellow at the National Immigrant Justice Center and work with the University of Michigan Human Trafficking Clinic, among others. Lara holds a Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School and a Bachelor's degree in International Studies and German from Rhodes College.
