Yijiang (Jacob) Xu is currently a Research Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they lead ethnographic research on eviction court practices and contribute to academic publications on ethical and participatory design. Previously, they worked as an Architect at Main Architecture, independently developing design concepts and managing various renovation projects, including accessibility-focused upgrades in Chicago's Chinatown. Yijiang also gained experience as a Product Designer during a sponsored project with MARTA and has held positions with RIB Software and Amstadter Architects, focusing on product research and architectural design respectively. They hold a Master's degree in Human Computer Interaction from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
