Avi John

Avi John has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries.

Avi started their career in 2004 as a Maintenance team leader in the Israeli Air Force.

From 2007 to 2011, they worked as an IT Technician at Ben Gurion University, where they managed and maintained system and user accounts, constructed and networked student labs, and performed computer and peripheral equipment maintenance.

In 2011, Avi joined ECI Telecom as an Automation Testing Engineer, where they conducted research on data features, designed and reviewed testing under system requirements, and implemented code in Java. Avi later became a Software Engineer in 2014 and a Software Team Lead in 2016. From 2016 to 2019, they served as a Software Development Team Lead in the NFV Management System department.

Since 2019, Avi has been working at Ribbon Communications, initially as a Software Development Group Manager in NFV Infrastructure and Virtualization, and currently as a Software Architecture Group Manager.

Avi John completed their education in a chronological order. In 1999, they attended the Israeli Air Force College for a duration of two years, until 2001, where they obtained a Practical Engineer degree in Electronics and Computers. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Systems Engineering at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev from 2006 to 2011.
