Francois Caron

Francois Caron has over 15 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Francois currently works at Ribbon Communications as the Senior Director of Product Management, leading a team of 10+ product managers/directors responsible for $250M+ in annual revenues. Prior to this role, they served as the Director of Product Management at Ribbon Communications, where they led a team of 7 product managers responsible for over $100 million in annual sales. Francois has a strong background in technology and software development. Francois previously worked at Vantrix as a Software Developer, co-founding an open-source implementation of the HEVC/H.265 codec and promoting the project at industry events. Francois also worked at Octasic as a Software Developer, where they invented a new rate controller and co-authored a patent to protect corporate intellectual property. Francois has a proven track record of driving revenue growth, simplifying pricing strategies, and staying up-to-date with industry developments.

Francois Caron completed their education at the École de technologie supérieure. Francois first pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Information Technology from 2004 to 2008. After that, they went on to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Engineering from 2008 to 2013.

In addition to their degrees, Francois also obtained several certifications. In July 2014, they acquired the title of Engineer from the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec. Later, in November 2008, they became a Junior Engineer from the same institution. Lastly, Francois obtained the Professional Scrum Product Owner I certification from Scrum.org in March 2015.
