Michael Sarcia

Technical Field Engineer at Ribbon Communications

Michael Sarcia has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple companies and roles. Michael started their career as a CTI Engineer at Davox Corporation from 1993 to 2000, where they provided installation, configuration, and customer support for CTI solutions. Michael also conducted knowledge-sharing sessions and supported the SEs and Account team in new and upgraded system implementations.

From 2000 to 2014, Sarcia worked at Sonus Networks as a Technical Engineer. Michael provided Tier 3 technical support for various Sonus Network Products, including SBC session border controller, GSX9000 gateway, PSX soft switch, EMS management system, and more. Michael also mentored and provided leadership to peers and team members at Tier 1 and Tier 2 levels.

In 2014, Sarcia joined Verizon Labs as a Member Of Technical Staff. Michael played a crucial role in troubleshooting and resolving technical support issues for the nexGen inline and cloud services platform for the 3G/4G Verizon Wireless network. Michael managed KPIs, troubleshooted TCP flows, and reviewed software code to enhance troubleshooting methods.

From 2018 to 2021, Sarcia worked at Arista Networks as a Technical Support Engineer. Michael specialized in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues for EOS data center platforms. Michael collaborated with customers and software/hardware development teams to provide efficient solutions.

Currently, Sarcia is employed at Ribbon Communications as a Technical Field Engineer. Michael'sresponsibilities include managing the integration and implementation process of new elements in the Ribbon-based network, troubleshooting SIP flows impacting customer hardware and software applications, and acting as a liaison and customer advocate for software and hardware integrations with development teams.

Michael Sarcia obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 1993.
