Parag Ghorpade has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. They started as a Research Intern at CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute in 2019, where they designed a Graph Attention Networks (GAT) model to predict the spread of infectious diseases. They also collaborated with a multidisciplinary team to visualize the model results.
In 2020, Parag worked as a Research Intern at CDAC, where they engineered GIS-based spatial prototypes for flood forecasting. They optimized flood forecasting accuracy by employing CNN algorithms and advanced data visualization techniques.
From 2021 to 2022, Parag served as an Associate Software Engineer at Integral Ad Science. They implemented micro-services on Kubernetes to improve performance and reduced language translation costs by training in-house LSTM-based models.
In 2022, Parag took on two roles simultaneously. They worked as a Residential Safety Office Proctor at Northeastern University, ensuring the safety of students in their residence halls. They also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Khoury College of Computer Sciences, helping students with their courses and grading assignments.
Currently, Parag is a Data Scientist Co-op at Ribbon Communications.
Parag Ghorpade completed their high school education in the field of science at Kendriya Vidyalaya from 2004 to 2016. Parag then pursued a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Modern Education Society's College of Engineering in Pune, from 2017 to 2021.
In terms of certifications, Parag has obtained several additional certifications. Some notable ones include "Deep Learning A-Z™: Hands-On Artificial Neural Networks" from Udemy in June 2021, "Machine Learning" from Stanford Online in June 2020, and "Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)" from Internshala in March 2019. Parag has also obtained certifications in various domains such as TensorFlow, BigQuery, Azure fundamentals, Cloud Architecture, and Kubernetes.
Currently, Parag is pursuing a Master of Science (MS) degree in Data Science at Northeastern University from 2022 to 2024.
