Earlier in their career, Zeecil worked as an Engineer at Technica Corporation in 2003 and as a Rapid Response Engineer at Nortel Networks from 1999 to 2002.
Zeecil Kimmel attended Thomas Edison State University from 1993 to 1997, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science. In addition to their degree, Zeecil has obtained various certifications over the years. In 2013, they obtained the CCNA-Video certification from Cisco. The following year, in 2014, they earned the VCP5 Data Center certification from VMware. In 2015, Zeecil achieved multiple certifications, including the CCNA and CCNA-Voice from Cisco, as well as the CISSP certification from (ISC)². More recently, in 2022, they obtained the Cisco Certified Network Professional Collaboration (CCNP) certification, and in 2023, they became a Cybersecurity Exam Development Volunteer at (ISC)².
