Dan Kratz MA, LPC, LMHC, CMPC serves as the Assistant Athletic Director for Counseling and Sport Psychology at Rice Athletics, overseeing counseling and sports psychology operations for student-athletes since April 2025. As a self-employed Mental Performance Consultant since September 2017, Dan specializes in enhancing athletic performance through anxiety management, confidence building, and mindfulness techniques. Previous roles include Mental Health Clinician at Iowa State University Athletics, Professional Counselor at Texas A&M University Galveston Campus, and Assistant Director of Recreational Sports at West Texas A&M University, among others. Dan holds a Master of Arts in Psychology from West Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Carroll University.
