Regina Harris

President at Richardson High School

Regina Harris was elected to the Board in 2019. She has been a part of the RISD community for many years. Ms. Harris attended elementary, junior high, and high school in RISD and is now a parent of an RISD student. She has served RISD in several volunteer capacities. Ms. Harris began her PTA career at Hamilton Park Pacesetter Magnet as the Ways & Means Chairperson and later became the PTA Membership Chairperson. At Richardson West Junior High, she continued her PTA career as the Ways & Means Chairperson and then served as PTA President. After junior high school, she went on to serve as PTA President at Richardson High School.

Ms. Harris also served on the Richardson Council of PTAs Executive Board as the Programs Chairperson and the First VP Aide. Her involvement in RISD includes Parent Liaison on RISD committees, including the RISD Strategic Planning Committee's Community Engagement Action Team and the RISD Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. Throughout the years, she has also served on parent focus groups and the District of Innovation Team.

Professionally, Ms. Harris works in the technology business. She is currently a Webcast Production Manager for Webvent, Inc. She began her career at Coca-Cola Fountain as a Marketing Assistant and later at Yum Brands Pizza Hut, Inc. as a Training and Development Manager.

Ms. Harris received her Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from Grambling State University. In addition, she has a certification in Basic Mediation, Family Mediation, and Parent Education and Parental Coordination.
