Ian Collins has extensive work experience in the engineering field. Ian currently serves as the Head of Engineering for the EMEA region at Richardson RFPD, starting in April 2021. Prior to this, Ian had a long tenure at Analog Devices, where they held various roles. From September 2019 to April 2021, they worked as a Systems Applications Engineer for the Digital Platforms Initiative, bridging the gap between component selection and prototyping. From June 2016 to April 2021, they served as an Applications Manager in the RF & Microwave Group, where they focused on product definition and systems architecture design. From November 2014 to June 2016, Ian worked as a Systems Applications Engineer, developing reference designs for RF and uWave Instrumentation. Prior to that, they were a Staff Applications Engineer from February 2002 to November 2014, providing applications support for RFIC devices and implementing design-in tools and system architectures. Ian's career at Analog Devices began in August 2000 as a Test Development Engineer, specializing in probe and final test solutions for RF IC's.
Ian Collins attended Patrician Academy Mallow from 1990 to 1996. After completing their schooling there, they pursued further education at University College Cork from 1996 to 2000. At University College Cork, they obtained a degree in Engineering, specifically a BEE (Bachelor of Electrical Engineering).
