Rosie M Faifua-Cortez, CFP®, co-founded Communitas Financial Planning, a fee-only financial planning and socially responsible investment management firm, where the focus is on partnering with individuals, families, non-profits, and small businesses to align finances with societal benefits, from January 2012 to October 2014. Prior experience includes serving as a Financial Advisor at New York Life from August 2006 to March 2011, and as Director of Consulting Services at SSB Technologies, Inc. from August 2001 to November 2005. Rosie began a career in technology as a Software Engineering Intern at IBM from June 1997 to September 2000. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo and a Certificate in Financial Planning and Services from UC Berkeley Extension.
