Perry Richards

U15-u16 Boys Program Director at Richmond Kickers Soccer Club

Perry Richards has a diverse work experience in the soccer industry. Perry started their career as a Coach and Advanced Administrator at Virginia Rush Soccer Club in 2009. Perry also served as the Sand Soccer Representative for the club, handling sponsorships for the North American Sand Soccer Championships. In 2010, Perry joined Virginia Beach City Public Schools as the Cox High School JV Boys Soccer Coach. Perry then moved on to work as an RBNY Academy Coach for the New York Red Bulls in 2013. Perry also worked as the Assistant Coach for the Virginia Olympic Development Program from 2015 to 2016. Perry then held several coaching positions at the Chesapeake United Soccer Club, including Head Coach and Academy & Advanced Director of Coaching. Perry joined Apex Systems as a Business Development Representative in 2017 before transitioning to the Richmond Kickers Soccer Club. At the Kickers, Perry has held various roles, including Operations Assistant, Director of Coaching Education, Director of Rec Coaching Education, and Travel Coach.

Perry Richards earned a Master's degree in Coaching Education & Athlete Development from Xavier University, which they attended from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Psychology at Old Dominion University from 2009 to 2012. Before attending Old Dominion University, Perry obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Psychology from Bridgewater College, where they studied from 2007 to 2009. In addition to their academic achievements, Perry also holds several certifications, including a USSF C License from the U.S. Soccer Federation obtained in March 2021, a NSCAA Goalkeeping Level 2 Diploma obtained in April 2014, a NSCAA Goalkeeping Level 1 Diploma obtained in September 2013, and a USSF National D License obtained in August 2010.
