Jean Gordon

AVP, Emergency Department Nursing at Richmond Medical Center

As assistant vice president of emergency services Jean Gordon, RN, MSN, FNP- C provides nursing leadership for the department while partnering with the ED physician-lead to develop thoughtful strategies aimed at improving patient care.

Jean leads with a focus on providing the very best care possible to her community and enjoys working with her incredible leadership team to build a culture of continuous quality improvement.

After a short stint in critical care early in her career, Jean transitioned to emergency nursing and never looked back. Positions held by her over the years include educator, clinical nurse specialist, trauma coordinator and various progressive management positions- all related to emergency care. Jean has served as adjunct faculty for College of Staten Island, where she also served on their nursing advisory council.

Jean received her BSN from the College of Staten Island, a master’s degree from Hunter and a graduate certificate from Adelphi University. She has been involved with ENA locally and nationally over the years, where she helped develop a resource guide for emergency department educators.
