Jeff Austin, RPLU

Jeff Austin, RPLU has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. Jeff is currently serving as the Vice President of Professional Liability at Richmond National since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Verus Underwriting Managers (a Berkley Company) for 10 years, where they also held the position of Vice President of Professional Liability. At Verus Underwriting Managers, they focused on targeting professional liability and commercial risks in the excess & surplus lines and specialty insurance markets.

Before joining Verus Underwriting Managers, Jeff worked at Argo Group as an Underwriting Manager from 2006 to 2011. Jeff was responsible for managing underwriting activities during this time. Additionally, they served at Apex Insurance Services as a Territorial Manager for 11 years, where they managed a specific region's operations related to insurance services.

Jeff's professional journey began at Governmental Professional Underwriting Managers, where they held the position of Associate Territorial Manager from 1993 to 1995. Prior to that, Jeff worked as a Sales Representative at Independent Life Insurance Company. In this role, they presented life, health, property, and casualty products to prospective clients and assisted existing clients in enhancing their insurance programs.
