Carmen Xu is a dedicated professional with a diverse background in customer service, education, and event coordination. Currently serving as a Customer Service Clerk at Richmond Public Library since December 2022, Carmen provides book and media recommendations while promoting literacy through numerous programs. Previous experience includes roles as an MLH Coach for Major League Hacking, Hackathon Event Logistics Coordinator for nwPlus, and a Computer Science Teaching Assistant at The University of British Columbia, where Carmen received a teaching award for exemplary service. Carmen's early career included positions as a Bookshelver and Retail Salesperson, along with tutoring experience. Holding a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The University of British Columbia, Carmen also studied User Experience Design at BrainStation and began a degree in Psychology at Simon Fraser University.
