Ian Lai is an experienced professional in sustainability, food education, and community development. Currently serving as the Manager of Feeding Futures at Richmond School District No. 38 since September 2023, Ian's prior roles include Executive Director at Urban Bounty and Sustainability Educator for the City of Delta. With a significant tenure as a Sustainability Consultant for the City of Richmond, Ian has also contributed to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank as a Food Literacy and Community Development Coordinator. Ian's extensive background includes founding the Richmond Schoolyard Society, leading Urban Agriculture Consulting Inc., and operating as Chef Owner/Consultant at Northwest Culinary Academy of Vancouver. Additionally, Ian has experience as a Farm to School Animator with the Public Health Administration of BC and worked as Resident Chef at the United States Consulate General.
