Founded in 1957, the Richmond Symphony is an orchestra of more than 70 professional musicians, the 150-voice Richmond Symphony Chorus and more than 200 students in the Richmond Symphony Youth Orchestra Program. Each season, more than 250,000 members of the community enjoy concerts, radio broadcasts, and educational outreach programs.

The Education and Community Engagement team at the Richmond Symphony is dedicated to fostering a love of music and enhancing educational opportunities through a variety of outreach programs. They design and implement initiatives for students and families, including youth orchestras, community concerts, and educational workshops, ensuring accessibility to the arts while cultivating the next generation of musicians and music lovers.
