Mark Bowes is an experienced news reporter with a career spanning several decades. Since 1992, Mark has worked at the Richmond Times-Dispatch, focusing on crime, courts, and criminal justice issues in the Richmond region and throughout Virginia. Prior to this role, Mark reported for the Richmond News Leader from 1984 to 1992 and served as a Washington correspondent for multiple publications, including the Independence Examiner, Brattleboro Reformer, and Naples Daily News in early 1984. Mark's journalism career began at the Columbia Missourian from 1982 to 1983. Mark holds a Master of Arts in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
