G.D.J. Dorai has over 30 years of work experience in the technology industry. G.D.J. began their career in 1987 as a Segment Manager for Consumer Industries Supply Chain at Digital Equipment Corporation. During their tenure, they helped the company penetrate the logistics segment of the consumer packaged goods/retail industry and grew the industry application segment's revenue from near zero to over $300M. In 1994, they joined A.T. Kearney Management Consultants as an Engagement Manager, leading several management consulting engagements in business operations. In 1999, they became the General Manager for eServices at Modus Media (now part of Modus Link), where they repositioned the company from a low value sub-contractor to a supply chain solutions provider. In 2002, they joined ClientLogic (SITEL) as an Account Management Officer, managing the largest client account at the site and leading process redesign to deliver order fulfillment accuracy above 99%. In 2013, they moved to eBay Inc. as the Head of Solution Strategies for Business Development, helping eBay Inc. penetrate the TOP 100 brands and retailers. In 2015, they became an Independent Advisor/Consultant for DORAI & CO, providing advisory/consulting/projects in strategic and operational assessment of e-commerce/retail business and processes. In 2019, they joined Richpanel as the VP Operations/Co-founder, part of the team bringing a game-changing Customer Support/CRM solution.

G.D.J. Dorai began their educational journey in 1969, when they earned a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Madras. G.D.J. then moved to the United States, where they earned an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota between 1974 and 1976. In 1977, Dorai continued their studies at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, where they earned an MS in Management Technology in 1980.
