Salvatore Stolfo

Salvatore Stolfo is an accomplished professor of Computer Science at Columbia University, with a specialization in Computer Security, Intrusion Detection Systems, and Data Mining-based security analytics since 1979. Currently serving as an Advisor at Glasswing Ventures since November 2017, Salvatore also holds the title of Inactive Founder at Red Balloon Security, Inc., focusing on business development and marketing since January 2012. Previously, Salvatore was the CTO and CEO of Allure Security Technology, Inc., from 2017 to 2022 and 2011 to 2016, respectively, where technical leadership and innovation were key responsibilities. Additionally, a consultant at BAE Systems from 2004 to June 2010, Salvatore contributed to research and development in computer security. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Computer Science from New York University and a BS in Computational Mathematics/Computer Science from Brooklyn College.
