People and Culture Manager at RideCo

Sarah Edmonds has a diverse work experience in human resources and people management. Sarah is currently working as a People and Culture Manager at RideCo On-Demand Transit since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Validus Research Inc. for over seven years, starting as a Human Resources Generalist from March 2013 to April 2015, and later becoming a Human Resources Manager from April 2015 to April 2022.

Sarah also volunteered as a Human Resources Manager at Sustainable Waterloo Region from April 2012 to April 2014, where they were responsible for recruitment, employee engagement, and policy administration. Before that, they were a Human Resources Professional and Generalist at Crawford & Company (Canada) Inc. from May 2007 to February 2013, where they provided support in payroll, compensation, and employee benefits.

In addition to their professional roles, Sarah has also been actively involved in volunteer positions. Sarah served as a Committee Chair and Member for Exhibitors/Sponsors at the Grand Valley HRPA Bi-Annual Conference Committee from August 2011 to December 2012. Sarah also held the role of Co-Director of Professional Development at the Grand Valley HRPA Board of Directors from June 2010 to May 2012, where they contributed to board discussions and organized professional development events for HR professionals.

Overall, Sarah Edmonds has demonstrated their expertise in HR management, employee engagement, and volunteer leadership throughout their career.

Sarah Edmonds obtained a Certificate in Human Resources from Conestoga College in 2006-2007. Prior to that, they completed an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology at Wilfrid Laurier University from 1999 to 2003. In 2009, Sarah also obtained the CHRL certification from HRPA.
