Caitlin Pearce is an accomplished professional in the fields of labor advocacy and sociology with extensive experience in leadership and community engagement. Currently serving as Deputy Director at Riders Alliance since February 2021 and as an Advisor at Wethos since February 2020, Pearce previously held the position of Executive Director at Freelancers Union from September 2010 to December 2019, where significant legislative advancements were made for freelancers, including the landmark Freelance Isn’t Free Act. In earlier roles, Pearce contributed to organizational growth as Senior Manager of Strategic Initiatives, while also building advocacy campaigns and member resources as Director of Advocacy and Member Engagement. Academic achievements include a Master of Arts in Sociology from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Bard College.
