Matt Kidd

Matt Kidd has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Matt currently works as a Transport Partnerships Manager at RideTandem since July 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Teacher of English at Everest Community Academy (September 2021 to April 2022) and Llantwit Major School (September 2019 to August 2021), where they created engaging lesson plans and provided support to students.

Before their teaching career, Matt held multiple positions at Richer Sounds. Matt served as a Branch Manager from December 2014 to July 2019, achieving a 500% profit increase and developing a welcoming environment for customers and staff. Matt also worked as a Richer Unsigned Officer from April 2013 to February 2015, contributing to the project's development and running monthly competitions. Additionally, they were a Tech Blog Editor and Writer from June 2012 to February 2015, overseeing article publication and providing feedback to writers. Matt was also a Deputy Manager and Stock Auditor from April 2012 to December 2014, leading stocktakes and managing staff welfare.

Earlier in their career, Matt worked at Cerebra (Charity) as a Press Officer from September 2009 to June 2010, where they successfully placed articles to raise awareness of charity activities. Matt also served as a Team Leader and Tele-Fundraiser from September 2007 to August 2009.

Furthermore, Matt gained international experience as a Modern Foreign Language Teacher at Project Trust from September 2006 to July 2007, teaching English to Chinese students and improving the English-speaking skills of Mandarin-speaking colleagues.

Matt Kidd attended the University of Wales Trinity Saint David from 2007 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Creative Writing and Film Studies. Matt then went on to pursue a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) at Cardiff Metropolitan University from 2019 to 2020, achieving a Postgraduate Level 7 Qualification.
