Curtis Jones

Curtis Jones is the Tax Director at Ridgemont Equity Partners. Curtis has over thirteen years of experience as an M&A specialist, providing due diligence, structuring, and planning for domestic and inbound transactions. Curtis has also advised clients and internal leadership on the most tax-efficient methods to undertake transactions and structures. Curtis has a deep understanding of corporate ownership for purposes of Section 382 of the Internal Revenue Code, and they are skilled in calculating stock basis and Earnings & Profits of consolidated groups. Curtis has also assisted with ASC 740/FAS 109 implementation in the context of financial statement carve outs. In their current role, Curtis manages projects from proposal to delivery and client relationships.

Curtis Jones graduated from Western Branch High School and then went on to earn their B.S. in Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Virginia. Curtis then attended the University of Virginia School of Law, where they earned their J.D.
