Michael Fitzgerald

Michael Fitzgerald is currently a partner at Ridgeway Partners, an executive search and consulting firm. Prior to joining Ridgeway, Fitzgerald served as managing director and head of the Boston office within the asset management practice at RSR Partners. Michael also served as managing director and distribution practice leader within the asset management practice at Charles Sterling Group, LLC.

Fitzgerald began their career at Morgan Stanley in December 2010 as managing director, head of intermediary distribution. In this role, they were responsible for all sales and relationship management activity in North America for intermediary channels. Michael rebuilt the entire intermediary/retail business for MSIM, which led to record annual gross and net sales. Fitzgerald also spearheaded the fund/share class rationalization project, which included the creation of the first "zero" share class. Michael oversaw the full intermediary team build-out (40+ hires) and grew multiple funds from less than $25 million to over $1 billion in assets under management. In 2016, they secured the largest mandate ($1.3 billion) for the firm. Fitzgerald was also a member of MSIM's Global Distribution Management Committee and the ICI Sales and Marketing Committee.

Michael Fitzgerald has a Bachelor of Science from Siena College and has completed a course in Maximizing Sales Force Performance from Kellogg Executive Education. Michael is also certified from FINRA in Series 6, 7, 24, 26, 51, and 63.
