Gijs van Weert

Gijs van Weert has a diverse work experience that includes roles in process engineering, delivery driving, and composite development. Gijs'smost recent position is as a Process Engineer at RIFT, where they are currently employed. Prior to this, they worked as a Process Engineer at Sonneveld Group B.V. from January 2020 to August 2020, focusing on product and process development for the bakery industry. Before that, they were a Graduate Intern Process Engineer at International Flavors & Fragrances from June 2019 to December 2019, where they conducted research on spray dry products. From August 2016 to January 2019, they worked as a Delivery Driver at Jumbo Supermarkten, where they were responsible for grocery delivery and team management. Additionally, they gained experience as an Intern Composite Development at Millvision from August 2017 to February 2018, where they conducted research and development of biocomposites.

Gijs van Weert obtained their HAVO Diploma in Science and Technology + Science and Health from Maurick College in June 2015. From 2015 to 2020, they attended Avans University of Applied Sciences, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. Additionally, in the academic year 2018-2019, they undertook a minor in Biobased Technology and Business Development at Avans University of Applied Sciences.
