Marcel Verspaandonk

System Engineer at RIFT

Marcel Verspaandonk has extensive work experience in the field of engineering. Marcel began their career as an Engineer Internship at Louwers Glass and Ceramics Technologies in 2010. Marcel then moved on to NTS-Group, where they worked as an Engineer Internship with a focus on starting and guiding a new medical product.

In 2016, Marcel worked at Fontys Objexlab as part of the Smart Product Development With Additive Manufacturing (SPDwAM) Minor program. Marcel gained knowledge and skills in design for 3D printing and product development.

Marcel's experience continued at Objexlab, where they worked as a Student-assistant 3D Printing from 2015 to 2017. Marcel provided support and assistance in 3D printing projects.

In 2017, Marcel worked as an Afstudeerstagiaire at KMWE, conducting a casestudy on process-oriented material properties of SLM printed parts for AM-sensor applications.

Marcel then joined Vimec Applied Vision Technology in 2020 as a System Engineer. Marcel had a connecting role between different technical disciplines and supervised projects from concept phases to product commissioning at the customer. Marcel also worked on having existing products made externally.

From 2018 to 2023, Marcel worked at Beltech BV as a Project Engineer, and at Kind Technologies as a System Engineer. Marcel gained experience in engineering and project management.

Most recently, Marcel joined Crux Agribotics in 2021 as a System Engineer until their current role at RIFT, where they continue to work as a System Engineer.

Marcel Verspaandonk attended PiusX-College from 2004 to 2008, where they pursued a degree in Voorbereidend Middelbaar Beroepsonderwijs Kaderberoepsgerichte Leerweg with a focus on Elektrotechniek. From 2008 to 2012, they enrolled in Summa College and completed a degree in Middenkader Engineering niveau 4, specializing in Mechatronica, Robotica, and Industriële automatisering. Following this, Marcel attended Fontys Hogeschool Eindhoven from 2012 to 2017, studying Mechatronica, Robotica, Industriële automatisering, and Additive Manufacturing.
