Mark Verhagen

Mark Verhagen has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. In 2014, they worked as an R&D intern at Rodenburg Biopolymers. From 2016 to 2016, they were an intern process engineer at Iv-Industrie, where they conducted research on fire safety regulations and designed new process installations. Starting in 2017, Mark worked as an intern in marketing at Nalco Water, An Ecolab Company. In 2019, they became a team manager and business manager at SOLID, a multidisciplinary student team focused on developing iron fuel for clean and renewable energy. Most recently, in 2020, Mark co-founded RIFT | Renewable Iron Fuel Technology and assumed the role of CEO. Additionally, from 2011 to 2019, they worked as a sales representative at De Vliert Sierbestrating.

Mark Verhagen's education history begins in 2012 when they enrolled in Avans University of Applied Sciences to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. Mark completed this program in 2016. At the same university, in 2013, they started another Bachelor's degree in Business Economics, completing it in 2017.

In 2016, Mark enrolled in Eindhoven University of Technology for a Pre-master program in Technische Bedrijfskunde, which they completed in 2017. From 2017 to 2019, they pursued a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management with a specialization in Industrieel Management at both Eindhoven University of Technology and Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires.

Mark completed their Master's program at Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires in 2019.
