Janis Ikaunieks

Janis Ikaunieks currently serves as the Director of the Riga Energy Agency under the Riga City Council since March 2021. Prior experience includes working as an Energy Efficiency Expert at Vidzeme Planning Region and as a board member at SIA Latefekts. Janis has held project management roles at Eco Baltia grupa and Ekodoma Ltd, focusing on energy efficiency, renewable energy, and environmental projects. Janis began a career in academia as a Scientific Assistant at Riga Technical University. Janis holds a Master's degree in Environmental Science and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, both from Riga Technical University.
