Alejandra Martin has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Alejandra began their career as a Research Assistant at the Center for the Study of Latino Health and Culture at UCLA, where they were involved in developing survey instruments, conducting focus group interviews, and managing community outreach programs. From 2007 to 2008, they served as a Research Assistant and Graduate Student Assistant at the Department of Health Policy of the Milken Institute School of Public. In this role, they supported a professor in data analysis, manuscript preparation, and curriculum development.

In 2010, Alejandra joined the National Academy of Sciences as a Research Associate. During their time there, they played a pivotal role in publishing consensus studies and workshop summaries by conducting literature reviews, managing research databases, and synthesizing information.

From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a Health Policy Research Manager at the Trust for America's Health, where they contributed to health policy research initiatives. This role involved analyzing and synthesizing data to inform policy recommendations.

Alejandra then transitioned to the DC Prevention Center Wards 1 & 2, Latin American Youth Center, where they worked as a Consultant from 2017 to 2018. In this capacity, they engaged, supported, and connected DC communities to promote healthy, drug-free youth.

Most recently, Alejandra joined Rigil in 2019 as a Business Analyst. In this role, they leverage their expertise in data financial modeling and analysis using tools like Tableau and Excel. Alejandra supports software rationalization decision making by creating reports and presentations for senior stakeholders and estimating future investments and expenditures.

Alejandra Martin began their education in 1996 at UCLA, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Gerontology. Alejandra completed their studies at UCLA in 1999. Ten years later, in 2006, Alejandra started their graduate education at The George Washington University, earning a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Epidemiology. Alejandra successfully completed their MPH program in 2008.
