Birgitte Hansen

Birgitte Hansen has extensive experience in leadership and strategic roles across various sectors, including public administration and consulting. Currently serving as Rigsrevisor at Rigsrevisionen since May 2022, Hansen held earlier positions such as Departementschef and Direktør for Styrelsen for Undervisning og Kvalitet at Børne- og Undervisningsministeriet from August 2018 to March 2022. Other notable roles include Director of Strategic Management at World Council on City Data, CEO in the City of Copenhagen for Employment, Integration and Business Service, and Co-CEO and Partner at Slotsholm A/S. Hansen's career began at Finansministeriet as Head of Labor Markets and Social Affairs and included experience as a Personal Advisor to the Minister at the Ministry of Business Affairs. Educationally, Hansen holds a Master of Science in Economics with a focus on Macroeconomics from the University of Copenhagen, obtained between 1986 and 1993.
