Ad Maas

Ad Maas serves as a Bijzonder hoogleraar museale aspecten van de natuurwetenschappen at Leiden University since September 2022 and has been a curator at Museum Boerhaave since August 2003, focusing on the history of science through research, exhibitions, workshops, and events. Additionally, Ad Maas has held various editorial roles, including OprichHoofdredacteur for Wonderkamer, a magazine on science history, and Book Review Editor for the Isis Journal. Experience includes being a scenario and text writer for historical comics since 2010 and a visiting fellow at Koninklijk Zeeuws Genootschap der Wetenschappen from August 2015 to July 2016. Ad Maas completed a PhD in the History of Physics from the University of Amsterdam between 1997 and 2001 and earned a drs. in History from Radboud University from 1992 to 1997.
