Ilse van Zeeland

Ilse Van Zeeland is a seasoned professional in museum exhibition development with extensive experience in the cultural sector. Currently serving as Sr. Advisor Exhibitions at Rijksmuseum Boerhaave since January 2022, Ilse also operates as a Concept Developer for exhibitions through her own consultancy, Ilse van Zeeland | museum concepts & content, since September 2018. Previous roles include Board Member at The Unschooled Mind Company, Concept Developer for Sapiens, and Senior Concept Developer for Exhibitions at Naturalis Biodiversity Center, where notable projects included interactive permanent exhibitions and a Masterplan for new museum concepts. Ilse has also held positions at various institutions, such as Science Center NEMO, where concepts for educational exhibitions were developed. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Biology from Utrecht University and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Zoological Engineering from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht.
