Chris Dijkshoorn has a diverse work experience in the field of information technology and data management. Chris started their career as a Bookstore Salesperson at Bookstore Boom Lelystad from February 2006 to October 2010. Chris then worked as a PhD Student at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam from November 2011 to November 2015. During this time, they also had a research placement at The British Museum as a Researcher from February 2015 to April 2015. After that, they joined Rijksmuseum as a Linked Data Software Developer from January 2016 to April 2016. Chris then worked as a Linked Data Researcher at Nederlands Instituut voor Beeld en Geluid from May 2016 to November 2016. Chris returned to Rijksmuseum as a Data Manager from October 2017 to May 2019 and later became the Head of Collection IT in June 2019.

Chris Dijkshoorn attended Scholengemeenschap Lelystad from 1998 to 2004. Chris then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Artificial Intelligence at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam from 2006 to 2010. Chris continued their education at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Artificial Intelligence from 2009 to 2011. In 2011, they briefly studied at Politecnico di Milano for an unspecified field of study.
