Ilan Vermeulen has extensive experience in customer service and hospitality, currently serving as an ICT-helpdesk and Publieksmedewerker at the Rijksmuseum since June 2013, where responsibilities include managing the ticketing desk, cloakroom, museum shop, information desk, and online shop. Prior experience includes working as a Projectassistent at Mercure Hotels from August 2011 to June 2013, where Ilan managed front-office operations, including guest reception and complaint handling. Ilan holds a Propedeuse in Spanish Language and Culture from the University of Amsterdam and a degree in Hospitality Management from the Amsterdams College voor Hotellerie en Gastronomie.

The Rijksmuseum manages a number of internationally renowned collections in the field of Dutch art and history from the Middle Ages onwards, as well as important collections of European and Asian artworks. The museum’s objectives are to conserve these collections, to study them and add to them, and to make them accessible to as wide an audience as possible, both nationally and internationally.
