Shivan Shazad

Shivan Shazad has diverse experience in cultural institutions and a strong educational background in gender, diversity, and sociology. Currently serving as a member of the supervisory board at Foam Fotografiemuseum Amsterdam since June 2023 and as Manager of Diversity & Inclusion at Rijksmuseum since July 2022, Shivan has contributed significantly to the promotion of diversity in arts and culture. Previous roles include participation on the supervisory board of Binoq Atana and as a policy advisor at SER Diversiteit in Bedrijf. Shivan's academic credentials include a Master of Arts in Gender & Diversity from Ghent University and a Master of Arts in Media Studies from Leiden University, complemented by ongoing postgraduate studies in higher management.
