Henk van der Wal

Henk van der Wal is a seasoned professional in the field of civil engineering and water management, currently holding the position of Technisch Manager and Senior Technisch adviseur waterbouw at Rijkswaterstaat since December 2016. With a strong background in asset management and a focus on water construction, Henk specializes in areas such as dams, coastal and shoreline works, morphology, and waterbeds. Prior experience includes serving as Ontwerpcoördinator and Adviseur Vaarwegen at Provincie Fryslan, where advisory roles within project teams were undertaken, and working as a designer at Advin BV, coordinating design efforts for waterways. Henk started his career as a Tekenaar Besteksschrijver at Van der Wiel Holding BV, focusing on technical development and specification writing for residential and industrial areas. Henk holds a BSc in Technical Business Administration from Hanze and a degree in Civil Engineering from the same institution, complemented by additional education from CROW.
