Joel van der Beek

Joel van der Beek holds extensive experience in economic research and consultancy, currently serving as a Pipeline Advisor at Rijkswaterstaat since August 2022, focusing on public works and water management in the Netherlands. As the Chief Economist and Founder of EconoVision since June 2005, Joel has applied specialized methods in infrastructure, transport, and development aid. Additionally, as General Manager and co-founder of Econolytics in India, Joel oversees a global analytics marketplace for data scientists. Previous roles include senior consultancy positions in various organizations, including Provincie Noord-Holland, Atos Consulting, and TransCare, along with foundational experiences in economic research with a focus on energy, infrastructure, and development economics. Joel earned a Master of Arts in Development Economics and International Development from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
