Matthijs Winters

Matthijs Winters is a seasoned professional in water management, currently serving as a Senior Advisor at Rijkswaterstaat since September 2008, where responsibilities include crisis management, forecasting management, surface water hydrology, and overseeing online publications. Prior to this role, Matthijs completed a graduation internship as an Advisor in Water Management at the EUCC - The Coastal Union in 2008. Matthijs holds a Master’s Degree in Nature and Environmental Sciences from Open Universiteit, obtained between 2011 and 2021, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Integrated Coastal Zone Management from Het Van Hall Instituut, completed in 2008.
