Patrick van Beek

Patrick van Beek is a seasoned technical manager and consultant with extensive experience in geo-information and nautical data. Currently serving at Rijkswaterstaat Centrale InformatieVoorziening as a Technical Manager for Nautical Data and specialist in Inland Electronic Navigational Charts (IENCs), Patrick is involved in developing a collaborative data model, designing a production system for IENCs, and standardizing data using S57 and Inland Ecdis standards. Previously, Patrick held the role of Project Leader for Electronic Navigational Charts at the Dienst der Hydrografie van de Koninklijke Marine, where responsibilities included establishing a production department and contributing to international standards. Earlier career experiences also include project leadership in cartography at Tele Atlas Kartografie and service as a Sergeant in military surveying. Patrick holds a Drs. degree in Physical Geography with a specialization in Cartography from Utrecht University.
